Are we right to attack targets in Pakistan when fighting terrorists in Afghanistan?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/south_asia/7685593.stm
"A suspected US missile strike has killed at least eight students at a religious school in north-western Pakistan, witnesses say.
The school, in North Waziristan, is close to the residence of a fugitive Taleban leader, Jalaluddin Haqqani, witnesses told the BBC Urdu Service."

No British troops are fihting terrorists in Pakistan, it is the American troops making these incursions, and air strikes.

Yes…they are using Pakistan as a base…unless you want them to form an army there to attack us

What do you mean by "we". That was the US not the British.

You answered your own question. It looks like the attack is aimed at the Taliban leader Haqqani.

What’s this "we" business, Part II: If YOU’RE a part of it, stop doing it–it’s illegal, Pro-Jew(=Anti-Islamic), and everyone outside of our two Governments (and Israel) disagrees with it ferociously. It’s a witch-hunt.
On the other hand, if you’re NOT a part of, it and HAVEN’T launched, or supported the launching, or lobbied for the launching of these missiles, then STOP using the word "we"–it’s a word the GUTLESS use, when they don’t want a charge of "Whose side are YOU on, then?"

Try "Are THEY right to attack targets in Pakistan, etc"–see how hot under the collar you get with worry, and anxiety. Try it. Just once. Go on. Dare you.

EDIT: m1A1mike is a DUMBF*CK. The laws he’s talking about re. neutral countries is in time of WAR–not arbitrary attacks by one country on another in the name of something made up. And bet your bottom dollar the law doesn’t use the word "combatant"–he chose that HIMSELF. It probably says "forces", which doesn’t quite have the right ring to it, does it? Dumbf*ck. Lot of dumb American c***s on here.

America has to beat up somebody – doesn’t matter who.

A handful of guys armed with box cutters outwit USA on 9/11.

Since then they’ve fired missiles, dropped bombs, sent troops into the civilians in Afghanistan abd destroyed their buildings.

Then they do the same with Iraq, missiles, bombs, troops, killing more and more civilians.

    Now they’re turning on Pakistan.

Anyone they don’t like the look of – they lock them up in Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay – without any charge – and allow their crazy troops to abuse the prisoners (sick).

Their President (Bush) actually sanctioned torture in Guantanamo Bay – despite both Houses voting against it.

They commit all these atrocities in the name of ………………Democracy and Freedom ! ! ! ! ! ! You couldn’t make it up.

It depends on the agreement about such things between the coalition forces and Pakistan. But even if such strikes are in line with the agreement, I wouldn’t overdo using this possibility. It’s a dangerous game. I mean the political situation in Pakistan.

Under international law, a ‘neutral’ nation must prevent its soil from being used as a base for combatants. If that nation does not do this then the nation being attacked has the right to go in and remove those bases themselves.

So – we do have the right to attack the bases of people who are attacking us, even if those bases are in Pakistan.

Bush II and Cheney seem to think so, providing what they are doing is actually thinking. However, if you are attacked by an enemy, you would normally be justified to retaliate.

My question here is about the reluctance of Pakistan to behave like a real ally. The Pakistan Military with our more sophisticated technology and financial support should have helped us to capture Osama bin Laden, if he is Northern Pakistan, a long time ago. But Pakistan has been as loyal as an ally for us as they have been good neighbors with India.

Honestly though, I do not believe my definition for right and Bush II ’s definition for right are the same.

Never a great idea to attack a neutral sovereign nation, particularly one which has nukes and a large hostile ex pat population living right here in our own country.

However you have to understand that the mountain border of Pakistan and Afghanistan is ill defined and porous.

One of the key features of the way the Taliban and AlQueada fight is from behind the cover of civilians, so it a very deliberate tactic to ensure that to the islamic world we look like indescriminate killers when we fight back.

IF the Pakistani government really tried, they could locate and eliminate most of these bad guys themselves, but we all know that they are not really trying. This is partly to appease their own muslim extremists, partly because the Taliban actually originated in Pakistan, and partly because the ISI, their intelligence service, is still working for the Taliban.

The US has also got to get away from its reliance on missiles as an accurate way to take down a person.

Local forces with special forces and some proper good Humint will do the job without collateral damage.

You are doing wrong. Pakistan has lost more soldiers in this war than all of the NATO forces together. More than 100,000 soldiers are fighting there. Pakistani people are facing Suicide bombing. no american or british are. with these Missle attacks you create more anger in the people againts america and NATO. which helps terrorists. So by attacking pakistan you are helping no one except the terrorist.

“By INVADING Pakistan in order to kill 1 Osama Bin Laden, this fool OBAMA will create 100000 Osama Bin Laden in Pakistan and all around the Muslim world”.
First USA should give Pakistan the proper and latest equipment to seal its border with Afghanistan then criticize Pakistan, I wonder how Americans can only blame Pakistan for Taliban attacks? Since all 35 NATO nations are in Afghanistan with their latest equipments USA itself is there with the number one technology in the whole world, Afghanistan should care about its borders but yet the whole world and specially USA blame only only only PAKISTAN.
We all know that USA can’t secure its easy border with Mexico with its world number one technology but they expect Pakistan to secure its Mountainous border with Afghanistan, i just wonder on the hypocrisy of Americans.
Securing Pakistan Afghanistan border is a joint joint joint responsibility of all NATO and specially AMERICA & Afghanistan & then PAKISTAN.
And Pakistan has lost more troops & civilians than USA or any other country for this so called war on terror.
USA and WEST first look at their deeds then point out their fingers on Pakistan, USA must must must give Pakistan the latest spying equipments otherwise they should not expect something from Pakistan which is not possible even from them. E.g. of it: USA not even gave Pakistan Firefighting equipments just searched what happened at MARRIOTT hotel in Islamabad due to fire from suicidal attack.

AND LIST GOES ON AND ON AND ONNNNNNNNN, All USA is doing providing ARMS & having nuclear deals to Pakistan’s number ONE enemy India and despite of that asking Pakistan to do all for them. WOW what a friend USA is of Pakistan.
& REMEMMBER THAT “PAKISTAN IS NOT AN COUNTRY SO USA OR ANY OTHER COUNTRY MAKE THEIR MOVE AND GET AWAY WITH IT”.

USA only like those democracy which supports its goals and objectives, they don’t like truly elected democracy. Most current examples are Hamas (elected by people but rejected by USA), Iran’s president (elected by people but rejected by USA).

USA supported the dictatorship of Musharraf and they still not saying to him to leave the president house, now tell me what’s that?

All USA has is just "double standards".

***What USA has done for Pakistan, in order to stop this, they must help Pakistan this is their duty, b/c if Pakistan leave USA in supporting in their so called fight against terrorism all suicidal attacks will start occurring in USA.?***

USA accused of infiltration from Pakistan to Afghanistan, but when Pakistan said that it will “mine” the Afghan-Pakistani border they said “NO”, when Pakistan said that it will “Fence” ” the Afghan-Pakistani border they said “NO”, & now they accuse Pakistan.

As a normal Paki i dont think any body has a right to attack my nation unless it allows to do so.

The people killed from US/NATO strike are 90 percent civilians, students.
So no body has he right to interfere , intervene or attack us. If done so we also have the will to respond, even tho our leaders are scumbags but our soldiers aren’t.

    Its just my views, MAtes
