Aitor Throup New Object Research Video
Aitor Throup is one designer name you probably haven’t heard in some time. Throup made waves seven years ago when he graduated from Royal School of Artwork , making a small debut assortment that was carried in some of the world’s finest outlets: Dover Street Market in London and Tokyo, Atelier in New York, H. Lorenzo stone island reflective ss11 in Los Angeles, I.T. in Hong Kong and Beijing, and Rail in Brescia, Italy. After a capsule assortment with Stone Island and a few installation works around the world he went quiet. He’s been busy this time refining his process and aesthetic.
The fruits of his labor are displayed on this video for the collection New Object Research. The clothes represent an evolution of past works. Pieces such as the Mongolia wool coat have articulated sleeves, zip double breasted closure and detachable hem are shown worn suspended in-air. Pieces can be found to purchase from Rail in Italy and more info can be discovered on the Aitor Throup website.
