But will the Pakistani Government do what it says, or pay lip service while it pockets money fom the west?

Pakistan has made this problem worse by allowing the Taliban to gain such a hold in their country, and I wonder if they were getting back handers from them too?

American airstrikes show that it is possible to target these terrorists, so let us see what Pakistan does next.

Maybe, but don’t count on it.
Members of the Pakistani government are deeply divided on this as on other issues. And the nation is not unfamiliar with a level of corruption not seen in the US.
In short, many Pakistanis agree with us about the errorists; but not all.

Pakistan government is fooling the world and its own people by saying something and doing otherwise,They are responsible for encouraging the Taliban and other terrorists organisations by funding them.Chk -

Fair well, you want U.S. to use Pakistan as a puppet to serve U.S. political agenda and interests in the region even after Pervez left office, but not to dissapoint you even if they agreed to be puppets a lot of Pakistani militant groups don’t feel comfort to U.S. interests and existence in that region so they will support Taliban forces and as you know Afghanistan has been the tomb grave for great empires and fighting invaders since Alexander the great, besides Afghanistan mountainous topography which Afghani warriors have adapted to it very well remains an obstacle against any terrestrial invasion which is necessary to win any war… Thus U.S. can fight their till doomsday and won’t achieve anything other than more job loss and more economic failure, the only solution for U.S. is to pull back the troops back to U.S. and use the funds dedicated for such stupid wars into useful governmental projects
