Yes it is. Coz it’s exposure of women unnecessarily. Wat r they tryin 2 prove? we women r not commodities. I think women can prove them selves in better things rather then such cheap things. I don’t understand the mentality of women 2day. Hejab & miss world , great. it will look really nice when they wear a hijab & come for the swimsuit round, come on.
i would defanitly boycot this. This is a non Muslim conspiricy given it the name of freedom 4 women 2 Nude out Muslim women out in public. Were is the Muslim woman’s brain??????? is it not enough they have nude their women now they r tryin their best 2 do it 2 our women.
Read wat happens 2 these pagents after they win, who they have 2 sleep with….., how they are abused & not utter a word. Allah has given Muslim Women respect in Isalm if they chose other then that Allah will nail them down.

If I’m not mistaken there is a Tunisian princess who once tried to participate in the contest with her Hijab and Niqab! of course they rejected her but she said that she was trying to prove a point, IMO she did..

i don’t see anything wrong with it. we have in Turkey too. and most of Miss Turkey’s became Miss world . i feel nothing but proud. they are presenting your country . its not like they r doing something bad.

Many fatwas were made about this. Some said that if the girl is covered up then its okay, while others said that even if she was fully covered up it is still unacceptable.
In 2007, an Arab Miss World event occured in Cairo, and a girl from Bahrain won the contest. Although most of the girls in the contest were wearing sleeveless and short dresses, this girl (covered up) won the contest. I am from Bahrain and I know, many were against the idea, while others encouraged the girl to participate.

Islam Forbids Muslim Women Showing There Beauty Other Than The ‘Mahram’.
In Quran Chapter:24 ,Verse:31 (Surah An-Noor-The Light)
God Says:
"Say To the Mumin women that they should lower their eyes and guard their private parts and not display their adornments-except for what normally shows-and draw their head-coverings across their breast.They should only display their adornments to their husbands or their fathers or their husbands fathers,or their sons or their husbands’ sons or their brothers or their brothers’ sons or their sisters’ sons or other women or those they own as slaves or their male attendants who have no sexual desire or children who still have no awareness of women’s private parts.Nor should they stamp their feet so their hidden ornaments are known.Turn to Allah every one of you,Muminun,So that hopefully you will have success."

Yes it is Haram. Those contests takes everything from a woman and turns her to one thing: a beautiful animal being watched by some people on a stage.
We can do nothing but change ourselves. Allah then will bring us better leaders that take care of such things, because the leaders actually are from us.
What really makes me sad, is that we think that a beauty contest is a disaster; while killing each other and remaining silent for events on the international plan is normal.

Egypt has sent participants to this contest (some Muslim some christian) as have other Muslim countries, even Afghanistan. Its a classic example of what the Muslims are and are not today.

yes it is haram coz they have 2 get nude in front of billion peoples i guess muslim countries have there own pageants in which they will be judge by there beauty n votes cast by general public n through internet i saw some stuff from turkey where some designers are making awesome hijabs n they r totally fashionable n also there is Malaysian fashion week where models showcase dresses for muslim gals n women’s so they are according to sharei n every muslim gal can wear it

Nothing suprises me anymore, What actions should be taken? Well, the muslim countries should not hold them and no muslim women should participate in them as some people are saying its ok for a women to do it if shes wearing hijab but the whole point of these contests is to see the womens beauty and compare the women, the hijab has allowed women to not be judged on our looks but then why do women want to join this??
It goes against all of modesty for a women in Islam.

its shameful, those beauty pagents all act like they are for ‘world peace’ etc but they are just skin shows.
i dont see how you could stop a foreign born misguided young girl from participating in a beauty pagent. it was the job of her parents to bring her up to be a decent person and they failed, it’s their fault.
