STONE ISLAND FAKES / HOW To tell
STONE ISLAND If you are sick to the again teeth of ‘Genuine’, ‘100% Real’, ‘Purchased BY MY GIRLFRIEND’, ‘STAKE MY LIFE ON IT’ (and a few of them ought to), Garbage Stone Island garments, have a learn of this.
I bought three completely different coats, Raso Gommatto (positive !) ,various sizes and all ‘Pukka’. What a load of crap! All three went again having paid what i assumed would keep me out of ‘Fakesville’ a mean of £130+, let me let you know that you’re waisting your money !! I moved heaven and earth to get my money again and so should you.
I do personal a number of originals, bought in Firenze( Florence, Italy) with no bull guarantees,so here’s what i do know…………
To start with, the tags ought to be equivalent. The sewn in tag number and the tie-on tag number. As acknowledged elsewhere, 2006 items WILL start with a 44 or 45. If the tags don’t match, bin it.
The sewn in tag (S.P.A.Artwork and so forth) WILL present nation of origin(varied countries involved are Italy,Romania,London..for ventile jackets(woven in Nice Britain)..and Cina….this last one is definitely China, however as with the word CIAO,the italians pronounce ‘C’ as ..ch…..) these nations produce various components or materials and the tag will at all times read RAVARINO (Mo), ITALY in smaller print.
Next, the patch buttons Will likely be distinctive, black with stone island etched around the outside and the center of the button Will probably be a ‘+’ signal, this will make the holes where the thread goes quarter circles, NOT common holes as another button with a ‘+’ sign between them…..Since i first began writing this,i’ve updated this information with info gained first hand, so, there seems to be yet another arsehole making fakes on the market, someone can now immitate the ‘+’ signal buttons, tho’ not very effectively !! The brand new batch of faux buttons have a ‘+’ sign for the eyes,However, they are DULL plastic copies,as opposed to GLOSS Stone Island Shirts S.I. originals. Also, the fake buttons place the ‘+’ eqvvs stone island sign very deep into the button, noticeably deep. The fakes are additionally sharp edged to the inside of the button, whereas S.I. are clean. The final damnation is that this, on the again of those buttons, (usually the patch button ), the fakes are smooth. The original buttons have two spherical indentations, virtually holes, on the reverse of the phrases ‘STONE’ and ‘ISLAND’ , this is where the buttons were held in the press.
The arm patch, a terrific source of pleasure, needs to be silk backed, but more importantly,it Must have the badge detail (compass and writing ) showing in FULL on the reverse facet, many pretend badges are solely part sewn onto the reverse
If i cannot see clear photos of any garment,my initial reaction is they try to hide one thing
I hope this helps, these bastards must be exposed for selling fake gear to a,(typically),unsuspecting public.
The only buttons with holes will be the larger buttons, the sleeve patch buttons and all other small buttons can be as above
Zips usually are not only for doing up the jacket, they too have to be high quality objects YKK,LAMPO etc …not kanglidanglicheapaschipsbutrightcolourshite (mine are all YKK or LAMPO)
Subsequent is the sizing, go on the stoneisland.co.uk site and you will notice the european measurement chart is totally different to ours. A jacket marked M, Will probably be a small in our sizing, L medium and XL clearly massive.
