Two-Nation theory formed the basis of Pakistan. Muslims of subcontinent, opted for a separate homeland, instead of joint India, finally achieved their goal in 1947 to have an independent state for themselves, but only after a long and relentless struggle under the single-minded guidance of the Quaid.

However, there has been lot of controversies and confusion created regarding the mere question whether Pakistan was founded to become a theocratic or secular state. This sense of misunderstanding was further exploited after the the speech of Mr. Altaf Hussain, founder of MQM, in India where he declared “the division of subcontinent as the biggest blunder in the history of mankind”. This vicious idea was further supported by some so-called journalists and scholars on local TV channels and newspapers.

In support of their speculation, they completely disregard the entire history and the struggle that was there with the independence struggle, Two-nation theory, Iqbal’s address of Allahabad in 1930, Pakistan resolution in 1940 and Objective resolution in 1949 and formulate their arguments on merely on one address of Mr. Jinnah on 11th August 1947.

College Essay, Contrast and Compare Sept 11, 2001 articles?

If there are any REALLY GOOD writers out there that would care to read a contrast and compare essay regarding the events of Sept 11, 2001? Just be honest about errors you find please. I didn’t include the works cited page in this posting. I have a problem with mechanics and would appreciate any input you might have…….I just copied and pasted this from Pages on my Mac so it isn’t nice and double spaced. The title is "Not All Are Factual"
The events of September 11, 2001 were reported throughout the world from various regional perspectives. The official story as given by the western mainstream media was that The World Trade Center in New York City was struck by two 757 airliners, and suffered structural failure due to heat generated from burning jet fuel, building 7 also suffered structural failure although it was untouched by the flames. In addition, The Pentagon was impacted on the same morning by a hijacked commercial airliner, while another airliner crashed in a Pennsylvania field before reaching its unknown target. The tragedy was repeatedly viewed throughout the world and the official story was accepted as fact. Although the same events were reported by various media outlets, their view of the facts regarding the ghastly events vary slightly in western nations, while an entirely different explanation is given by the middle-eastern media, and the Asian media’s concern is mostly regarding financial matters.
The media outlet of the stricken nation’s capital city, The Washington Post, writes of the devastating events in a kind of cold and scripted editorial, clinging to the official story with vigor “federal officials said they suspect the involvement of Islamic extremists with links to fugitive terrorist Osama bin Laden” (“The Washington Post, September 12, 2001”) The newspaper calls it “the most dramatic attack on American soil since Pearl Harbor” (“The Washington Post, September 12, 2001”) Continuing, we read of loss of life due to the hijacked aircraft, and “spectacular collapse of the Twin Towers” (“The Washington Post, September 12, 2001”) The Washington Post’s use of the word “spectacular” is particularly troublesome in the editorial regarding the horrific events that claimed so many innocent lives and disturbing. The article tends to focus on the carnage rather than the loss of humanity, and while being a factual account of the events, seems uncaring and sardonic.
Contrasting the prior article with a German report, there are many similarities and the general reporting is congruent with The Washington Post. As the sun rises over Europe, Hamburger Morgenpost reports the events that just transpired across the Atlantic. “A morning that will change America, and perhaps the entire world, forever.” (“Hamburger Morgenpost, September 12, 2001”) The German paper goes on to report “It is only now that the suspicion rises up to awareness: this is the work of terrorists, whose horrific dimensions have until now not been known” (“Hamburger Morgenpost, September 12, 2001”). The two articles agree the horrendous events are an act of terrorism and agree on the most basic explanation of the events. The German media outlet is accurate in saying that the events which have transpired will surely change America and the world forever, as a shocking revelation is brought into reality regarding the dangers of an unstable society. The German people are particularly educated to write on these matters due to the decline of their country into fascism under The Third Reich, and the rod of terror Hitler cast across a trancelike Europe.
The official story given by The Pakistani Newspaper says “Saudi militant Osama bin Laden had issued a denial of responsibility for the devastating terror attacks on the United States. ‘The terrorist act is the action of some American group. I have nothing to do with it,’” (“Pakistani Newspaper, September 12, 2001”) The Pakistani Newspaper goes on to say “The Urdu-language newspaper has a reputation for sensational reporting and there was no independent confirmation of the claim” (“Pakistani Newspaper, September 12, 2001”) Comparing The Pakistani Newspaper to The Washington Post there is a fundamental difference in the explanation regarding the cause of the attack and of the responsible parties, predominantly because the fifty-seven Islamic states live in a world believing that America is the big Satan and that Islam must dominate the planet. A frightening recognition of their belief system would unfeignedly make Pakistan a prime target to blame for the needless loss in America. However, the fact that Osama Bin Laden denounced the blame cast upon him is a red flag; presuming he is responsible, Bin Laden would surely be a hero among the brainwashed society of the Middle-East, and that causes great concern for me.
